Haida M10 Drop-in Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density ND1.2
This Haida Drop-In Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 1.2 filter helps to darken certain areas of an image, such as a bright sky, while leaving the other areas of the image exposed normally and unaffected. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers towards the center to a bright area with a soft transition line between the dense and bright areas. A neutral density filter with a soft transition line is particularly useful for images that do not have a sharp transition between the sky and the foreground. Neutral density filters have no effect on the coloration of the image and this filter reduces the light entering the lens by up to 4 f-stops. This filter is mounted in a toothed ring and has been specially developed for use between a separately available Haida M10 or M10-II filter holder and an adapter ring for the filter holder. The outer adjustment wheel of the filter ring allows independent rotation of this neutral density filter to enable precise positioning of the gradation along the horizon line.
The filter is made of optical glass that provides clarity and color fidelity. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface is coated with 10 layers of anti-reflective coating that better protects the filter substrate and helps it stay clean over a longer period of time. The nano-coating of this Haida Drop-In Graduated Neutral Density Filter provides an additional layer that ensures an improved beading effect when the surface comes into contact with water or oil, allowing for more efficient cleaning.
- Compatible with Haida M10 or M10-II filter holder kits
- Darkens bright areas of the image, such as the sky, while leaving the rest of the image unaffected
- The 16x filter factor enables a light reduction of up to 4 f-stops in selected areas.
- Smooth transition between light and dark areas
- Useful for images that do not have a sharp transition between the sky and foreground
- The filter has no effect on the overall color of the image
- Made of optical glass for clarity and color fidelity
- Multi-coated to prevent internal ghosting and reflections
- Nano-coating provides an additional layer that improves the beading effect on contact with water or oil, increasing cleaning efficiency
- External adjustment wheel on the filter ring allows independent rotation of the gray gradient filter when used with the Haida M10 and M10-II filter holder to enable precise positioning of the gradient along the horizon line.

The manufacturer Haida specializes in the production of high quality filters for various uses in photography. Haida filters are all made of optical glass. Haida produces filter holders as well as screw filters. The filter holders for plug-in filters are available in the width of 100 mm and 150 mm in our assortment. There are also matching Haida adapter rings in different sizes. Of course, Haid also manufactures ND and GND filters in various dimensions. The Haida ND filters are mainly used in landscape photography. When it comes to coating, the Haida company uses the NanoPro MC designation for multi-coated surfaces, with the NanoPro series being the most current version. Haida systems are available for all sizes of lenses from different manufacturers. The kit Haida M10 II system for 100 mm should not be missing on any photographer's wish list. Haida filters can be used especially well for shooting with water. Haida products do not need to be afraid of comparison with other products such as those from Lee. The ND or gray filters are available in different strengths. So that not too much time is lost in post-processing, the filters from Haid are color-neutral. With the Haida M10 series, you can make perfect long exposures. The corresponding 100 mm graduated filters can be mounted high or low in the filter holder. For ultra-wide angles, Haida also has a corresponding solution in its range, namely the M15 system. With a width of 150 mm, these filters cover a wider angle of view compared to the 100 mm. If such an ultra-wide angle is on your wish list, please be sure to note the Haida M15, there are various adapters for the most diverse combinations. Haida also has rear lens filters, these mount in the lens bayonet and are available in various strengths. Simply put, you can find the right filter for every application in Haida's range. Whether these are then used in the city or in the countryside, it does not matter. The products are also accompanied by brochures or manuals in English that give an overview of the entire range.
