For radio transmission, RØDE uses the 2.4 GHz band, which is free of registration and fees. The Wireless PRO transmitters have a range of 260 (!) metres with a clear line of sight. The Rode Wireless PRO TX transmitters Each of the two 4x4 cm small transmitter modules already has a high-quality microphone built in, which is optimally tuned for voice transmission. The transmitter module can be easily attached to clothing using the clip on the back. If the transmitter module is too conspicuous in the picture, an external microphone can be connected to the 3.5 mm jack socket on the side, e.g. the supplied Lavalier II. For outdoor recordings, one of the supplied windscreens should always be used. Wireless PRO has a recording function directly in the transmitter module and an internal 32 GB audio memory for this purpose. Recording is uncompressed as WAV and, if desired, with 32-bit float. In addition, the transmitter modules have an SMPTE timecode generator that can be set to the desired mode (23.98 fps, 24 fps, 25 fps, 29.97 drop frame, 29.97 or 30 fps) via the RØDE Central configuration software. The Rode Wireless PRO RX receiver module DSLR filmmakers can attach the receiver module to the camera's hot shoe. The short TRS cable (included) then connects the module's output to the camera's 3.5 mm microphone input. Via the matching USB cable (included in the scope of delivery), the signal can also be output digitally to a computer or a smartphone or iPhone®; the Wireless PRO receiver is MFI-certified. You can set whether the signals of the two transmitters are output separately (TX1 left/TX2 right) or in mono - in this case, the signals of TX1 and TX2 are merged and recorded identically on the left and right channels.
