Light balance between heaven and earth

Haida gray graduated filters are used to darken the sky or foreground. They are each neutral gray to the half ünt, which blends softly into the approximate filter half ühfte.
The rotatable Haida filter mount allows for exact horizontal alignment when the filter is screwed on tightly.

A Haida gray graduated filter is überwiegend used to compensate for a too bright sky. For metering, without a graduated filter, the camera or handheld light meter should be aimed downward at the foreground to be exposed correctly. For the sky, this almost always automatically produces the optimum effect.

Exposure allowances to compensate for absorption in the dense part of the graduated filter should be tight, so that the filter effect is not diminished too much! If the exposure metering is done through the filter, a minus correction of about 0.5 light values can be beneficial.

For ultra-wide angles, Haida also has a corresponding solution in its range, namely the M15 system. With a width of 150 mm, these filters cover a wider angle of view compared to the 100 mm.
