Impressive photographs with the help of a gray filter
The exposure time can be extended with a gray filter or neutral density filter (ND filter). This means that people or vehicles are not visible in the image, which can be useful if you want to take architectural shots without personnel. So anyone can take impressive architectural photos.
The gray filter reduces the amount of light entering through the lens, allowing the use of a larger aperture. This is necessary if the object to be photographed is to stand out against a blurred background or if a wipe or flow effect is to be produced by a long-term exposure. For example, falling water can be better photographed, especially if the exposure light is too bright.

Note:
This gray filter usually does not affect the automatic exposure measurement of the camera. It can therefore also be used in all automatic modes (e.g. P, Av, Tv). With some DSLRs, however, it may be necessary to cover the viewfinder so that the exposure measurement is not distorted by incident light.

The manufacturer Haida specializes in the production of high quality filters for various uses in photography. Haida filters are all made of optical glass. Haida produces filter holders as well as screw filters. The filter holders for plug-in filters are available in the width of 100 mm and 150 mm in our assortment. The Haida ND filters are mainly used in landscape photography. When it comes to coating, the Haida company uses the NanoPro MC designation for multi-coated surfaces, with the NanoPro series being the most current version.
