Retro style clip-on flash in white
The Lux Senior is a manual retro camera flash from Godox that is compatible with cameras from Fujifilm, Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Sony. With dimensions of 176 x 114 x 84 mm, the clip-on flash is very handy and easy to store.
The basic functions and is small enough to mount it regularly on your camera.
Simple manual flash for on the Kamrea
Referred to as a "retro" flash, the clip-on flash has a simple dial that links ISO values to aperture values, power levels, and shooting distances. For example, if you want to shoot at a distance of 1.5 meters with an ISO of 400, the dial sets f/4 and 1/8 power. The flash also has an auto mode, which defaults to f/2.8 at ISO 100.
Control features include an optical mode with S1 and S2 settings. In the S1 setting, the flash fires in response to another manual or TTL flash, and in the S2 setting, the Retro Flash responds similarly but ignores the first flash of cameras with a pre-flash function. The Senior Retro Camera Flash is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. This is recharged via the USB-C port on the side.
Starting up the flash:
To use the Godox Lux Senior, flip up the front cover. The flash tube is slightly recessed and can be extended to the left by pressing the red button. The parabolic reflector can be opened by turning the screen clockwise. To put the flash back in place, turn the umbrella counterclockwise and push the flash tube back into the recessed position. Be careful, the tube may be warm!
