ND filter plug-in filter ND 4.5 100 mm Haida
Super Stopper Gray Filters ND4.5 are perfect for long exposures for architectural photography.
The Haida rectangular ND4.5 gray filter provides shutter speed extension during exposure in a shot by reducing the amount of incoming light on the sensor. The Neutral Density Filter 4.5 filter is a strong gray filter - which is also called Super Stopper - and is especially suitable for long exposures in architectural photography in bright sunlight.
A margin of 15 stops makes the surface look very smooth and surreal in long exposures of water. Architectural photographers use the ND filter for extended long exposures that make moving people, animals or cars in front of buildings, landmarks or in busy squares disappear from the picture. Further, architectural photographers use it to blur clouds above architectures for a particularly beautiful effect.
The ND4.5 gray filter is particularly suitable for:
Perfect for long exposures of water for creative work. For example, at sunrise, the seawater flowing away looks surreal.
Architectural photographers often use long exposure to blur the clouds over the architecture to enhance the photo, as this effect adds artistic value to the image.
With an ND4.5, you can achieve the following shutter speeds:
At 1/2000sec, the shutter speed increases to 15sec.
At 1/500sec the shutter speed increases to 1min4sec
At 1/125sec, the shutter speed increases to 4min16sec.
Multi-coated optical glass reduces reflections
The Haida gray filter is made of glass that is ground and polished on both sides for durability and the highest optical quality.
The two-millimeter-thin glass filter is free of color casts and offers high resolution. Its special multi-coating reduces the occurrence of reflections and makes the filter insensitive to scratches.
Easy to mount with separately available adapter rings and filter holder.
For mounting, screw the matching adapter ring from the Haida M10 filter system onto the lens and attach the filter holder to it. In this way, the graduated filter can be easily used with lenses from a focal length of approximately 16 millimeters on a full-frame camera (APS-C from approximately 11 millimeters).
Up to three slots in the holder accommodate the desired creative filters. When inserting the ND filter, please make sure that the gray filter covers the lens properly so that no light enters sideways.
Metal box for safe storage and transportation
The filter comes with a metal box. This is perfect for transporting or storing the filter well protected.
All advantages at a glance:
Ideal for landscape photography
High-quality optical glass with nano coating
Absolute color neutrality
Easy insertion instead of screws (adjust the image section and insert the filter directly)
Scratch-resistant multi-coating suppresses reflections

Gray filter calculation
The aperture reduction of ND filters is calculated as follows:
The density of ND filters is usually given in steps of 0.3.
To obtain the aperture reduction, first multiply the value by 10 and then divide by 3.
0.3 x 10 = 3 | 3 = 1 f-stop
0.9 x 10 = 9 | 3 = 3 f-stops
0.6 x 10 = 6 | 3 = 2 f-stops
1.2 x 10 = 12 | 3 = 4 f-stops
1.8 x 10 = 18 | 3 = 6 f-stops
3.0 x 10 = 30 | 3 = 10 f-stops
3.6 x 10 = 36 | 3 = 12 f-stops
4.5 x 10 = 45 | 3 = 15 f-stops
The manufacturer Haida specializes in the production of high quality filters for various uses in photography. Haida filters are all made of optical glass. Haida produces filter holders as well as screw filters. The filter holders for plug-in filters are available in the width of 100 mm and 150 mm in our assortment. There are also matching Haida adapter rings in different sizes. Of course, Haid also manufactures ND and GND filters in various dimensions. The Haida ND filters are mainly used in landscape photography. When it comes to coating, the Haida company uses the NanoPro MC designation for multi-coated surfaces, with the NanoPro series being the most current version. Haida systems are available for all sizes of lenses from different manufacturers. The kit Haida M10 II system for 100 mm should not be missing on any photographer's wish list. Haida filters can be used especially well for shooting with water. Haida products do not need to be afraid of comparison with other products such as those from Lee. The ND or gray filters are available in different strengths. So that not too much time is lost in post-processing, the filters from Haid are color-neutral. With the Haida M10 series, you can make perfect long exposures. The corresponding 100 mm graduated filters can be mounted high or low in the filter holder. For ultra-wide angles, Haida also has a corresponding solution in its range, namely the M15 system. With a width of 150 mm, these filters cover a wider angle of view compared to the 100 mm. If such an ultra-wide angle is on your wish list, please be sure to note the Haida M15, there are various adapters for the most diverse combinations. Haida also has rear lens filters, these mount in the lens bayonet and are available in various strengths. Simply put, you can find the right filter for every application in Haida's range. Whether these are then used in the city or in the countryside, it does not matter. The products are also accompanied by brochures or manuals in English that give an overview of the entire range.
