The LRTimelapse Pro Timer 3 is one of the most advanced and flexible camera interval triggers for time-lapse and astro-photographers. It has been developed by Gunther Wegner, one of the pioneers of time-lapse photography "Made in Germany" and is especially designed for the needs of professionals and demanding amateur photographers.
The LRT Pro Timer is a small and lightweight interval shutter release with built-in Li-ion battery, which can be charged via USB and lasts up to 20 hours. It features a razor-sharp OLED display that is readable in all conditions and a single button for easy and ergonomic operation - even in the dark and with gloves on.
It can trigger two cameras at the same time, allows time-controlled and periodic recording, offers special support for mirrorless cameras, a flashlight function for foreground illumination and above all: it enables the shortest possible black times. This means that the camera can be operated while recording!
Intervals can be set in steps of 0.1 seconds. Interval ramping allows during recording a continuous adjustment of the interval over an adjustable period of time - also in combination with motion control hardware.
Optionally, the camera can be operated in bulb mode (astro-photography) for time-lapse and single exposures. The lighting of the timer can be switched off completely - essential for shots in the dark.
Default values for interval, number of exposures etc. can be stored in the LRT Pro Timer settings.
The integrated real time clock allows time-controlled exposures and periodic exposures at certain times of the day.
The LRT Pro Timer has a small and light-weight housing, which can be attached directly to the camera's hot shoe in two different angles, alternatively with corresponding eyelets, also on a tripod.
The release cable for the respective camera is not included. It is a standardized cable that must be purchased separately if required.

Compared to its predecessor, the LRT Pro Timer 3 offers a larger display (double resolution, almost three times the size), a cover made of optical precision glass to protect the display, a stylish aluminum knob for more precise settings and haptic indicators for the camera port numbers on the housing.
The LRT Pro Timer works with any camera for which a standard release cable is available (DSLR / DSLM, Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji, Olympus, Leica and many others).

- Firmware updates via UF2 files, by copying the firmware file to a drive which is provided after connecting the timer to a computer (PC or Mac). The timer must be set to update mode by double clicking the reset button.
- Although the optical glass cover of the LRT Pro Timer 3.0 provides good protection, the LRT Pro Timer is not waterproof. Please do not operate the device in rain or expose it directly to water.

*) For cameras that do not require AF signal. By default the minimum shutter speed is calculated as (shutter release time + AF_time + 50ms) rounded up to the next 100ms. By default this is 0.4 seconds. For cameras that do not require an AF signal to be sent before release, you can set the AF time to 0 in the settings. The minimum interval is then 0.3 seconds. Please note that most cameras are not able to record such short intervals.

Sehr gutes Teil und zu Empfehlen. Kann ich allen welche sich mit Astrofotografie befassen nur ans Herz legen.

Hervorragender Intervallauslöser, hatte bereits die Version 2.5. Die Weiterentwicklung besticht durch das grössere Display - die Software wird regelmässig weiterentwickelt. Einfach in der Handhabung.

Neuauflage des bewährten Timer
LRTPT 3 ist eine gelungene Weiterentwicklung des von mir sehr häufig benutzten LRTPT 2.5. Was mir am neuen Timer gefällt ist der etwas grössere Display, der das Lesen der Angaben erleichtert. Auch die Markierung des Port unterstützt den Benutzer, da auch im dunklen ertastet werden kann, welches Port 1 und welches Port 2 ist. Der Timer kann so eingestellt werden, dass Port 2 aus ist (Batterie sparend) oder für Motion Equipment statt einer zweiten Kamera genutzt werden kann. Somit ist dann im Dunkeln einfach zu finden, was wo eingesteckt werden muss. Der neue Knopf aus Alu war für mich erst eher ein Design Feature als ich den Timer in der Hand hielt, doch musste ich bei meinem ersten Test feststellen, dass er sich vor allem auch mit Handschuhen besser bedienen lässt, als der Kunststoffknopf. Ansonsten bietet der LRTPT 3 wie schon sein Vorgänger viele Vorteile gegenüber den marktüblichen Intervallauslösern: Der Timer ist einfach zu bedienen und sehr vielseitig verwendbar. Was mir neben der Grösse, einfachen Bedienung und Gewicht gefällt, ist die Weiterentwicklung des Timers. Insbesondere auch dass die Software sowohl für den LRTPT 3 wie auch für den LRTPT 2.5 weiterentwickelt wird und somit auch der "Alte" Timer up to date bleibt. Gunther hat schon viele Vorschläge der Benutzer umgesetzt und hat den Update in einer neuen Firmware implementiert. Der Firmwareupdate ist einfach und schnell zu machen. Ebenfalls entfällt das lästige mitschleppen von Batterien und man kann den Timer bei Bedarf auch über eine Powerbank betreiben. Zudem kann der Timer durch zwei Blitzschuhadapter und der Oese auf unterschiedliche Art an der Kamera / Stativ angebracht werden. Für mich der perfekte Timer, der in meiner Fototasche nicht fehlen darf!
