Light Modifiers
Light shaper studio equipment Light shapers are an essential tool for professional photographers. They are an integral part of studio equipment, whether for portrait shots, wedding photos, fashion or product shoots. Depending on the subject and theme of the shoot, you can use different types of light shapers for different lighting effects with your studio flash. The classic reflector as a standard light shaper The reflector, a simple light shaper variant, directs the flash light towards the centre and illuminates the subject with accentuated light. Due to its high-contrast light, shadows tend to be harder. Depending on the type of light shaper, the standard reflector provides a narrowly focussed highlight or the wide-angle reflector provides a wider beam of light. The background reflector produces a slightly oval beam of light for flashing the background in portrait shots. The Beauty Dish is the light shaper star in professional photography Without the Beauty Dish, nothing would work for beauty, fashion, wedding or portrait shoots. Its light character is somewhere between a standard reflector and a softbox. The Jinbei Beauty Dish reflects the flash light from its silver-coloured reflector walls softly and evenly towards the centre. This creates a small, more strongly illuminated area. This effect is enhanced by the standard honeycomb attachment. It directs the light more towards the centre, darkens the outer areas and makes the subject stand out more from the background. The foldable beauty dishes for studio flash units are ideal for mobile shoots. Their spring mechanism allows the struts to be quickly clicked into place and set up and taken down quickly. Special attachments for creative light Reflector attachments such as the honeycomb attachments or the wing flap gate are mounted directly onto the reflector. Flash attachments such as the Fresnel box or the snoot sit directly on the studio flash. With a snoot, you can create a fixed, pinpoint effect light with soft edges on important subject details such as your model's hair (hair light). The diffuser ball works the other way round. It distributes the flash light all round a room. Its ivory colour tone softens the light and blurs hard contrast boundaries. The reflectors, diffuser balls and attachments fit all studio flash units from Jinbei and PHOREX via their Bowens S-type bayonet. Protective covers for flash tubes and modelling lights make sense A cover made of safety glass protects the flash tube of the studio flash from damage. At the same time, the protector reduces the risk of burns when changing the reflector if you accidentally get too close to the flash tube. During transport or storage, a protective cap protects the flash tubes and long modelling lights in flash boxes from dust and scratches. It fits studio flashes and flash heads with Bowens S-type bayonet.
Color Correction Filters and Gels
Color correction filters and gels CTO color foils come in different "stages", each with a different temperature change. Since individual flashes differ in color temperature and with their operating voltage, CTOs are used to "balance" the ambient light and the light source (strobe, etc.) used for the image.
Universal rechargeable battery
Rechargeable battery AA and AAA batteries are used in many different devices. In photography, for example, AA batteries are used in Godox remote triggers. AAA batteries are sometimes used in remote triggers from Yongnuo. AA batteries are also frequently used in wireless keyboards, and such lithium-ion batteries are also used in computer mice. The advantage of these batteries is that they can be recharged countless times and therefore have less impact on the environment. Newer batteries can even be recharged via a USB-C connection.

Monitors
Monitor with HDMI connection A monitor with HDMI connection is the perfect match for your camera. With this monitor, you can judge the scene better, regardless of whether you are shooting a video or taking macro shots. The monitor's larger display makes viewing images much easier and errors are recognised very early on. These monitors are connected to the HDMI port of your camera using an HDMI cable. It is important that the connection between the monitor and camera is not accidentally disconnected, the easiest way to do this is with a cable clamp. With a monitor mount, you can attach the monitor to the hot shoe of your camera or to an additional cage.

Flash Radio Transmitters
Remote flash triggers transmit over long distances The remote flash control consists of a transmitter for operation and a receiver, which is usually already present in the receiver flash. Particularly advantageous with them is that: no direct visual contact is required between the transmitter and receiver massive obstacles do not restrict its operation it works over long distances (usually up to about 100 meters) there are no cables lying around The flash remote control is a real multi-talent and can be used for the most part in manual and TTL mode. It often also offers a multi-flash mode. High-speed synchronisation up to 1/8000 second is also no particular challenge for many of these remote controls.
Reversing Ring
Reverse rings Retroring There are different names for the retroring that can be found on the web. Reverse rings are also called retroring or retroadapter. The principle is simple: you take a lens and turn it around. Turned this way, it is either attached directly to the camera or combined with other lenses or with extension rings and placed in front of the extension rings or lenses. Due to the design, the focal plane is closer at the back of the lens than at the front. By turning the lens, you can get much closer to the object. Reversing rings therefore allow image scales that are significantly larger than 1:1 and you thus enter the realm of microphotography. Compared to close-up lenses, the biggest advantage is certainly that a reversing ring does not interfere with the optical calculation of the lens, since no further optical elements are brought into the optical path. As long as there are suitable reversing rings, you are no longer dependent on the bayonet or the lens brand. Almost any lens of any manufacturer can be mounted with a reversing ring. Lenses in retro position can be combined with other accessories (extension rings or bellows) without major problems. However, not every lens really makes sense. By mounting the lens "upside down", you will also incur some minor disadvantages. Since the bayonet is now on the front side, the lens has no more contact with the camera or with the camera control. Exposure metering is only possible via the working aperture metering, autofocus no longer works and the aperture has to be set manually (lenses without aperture ring are therefore only suitable for the retro position to a very limited extent). There are, however, special solutions that remedy this problem and which we will also present to you in this article. Long focal lengths (telephoto) have a narrow angle of view. The rear lens (pupil) therefore needs a greater distance from the sensor than lenses with a large angle of view (wide angle), whose pupil is much closer to the image sensor. In general, therefore, the following order applies for the suitability as a retro lens: wide angle - normal - telephoto. Wide-angle lenses permit the largest imaging scales. Only extremely short focal lengths (super wide-angle) are out of the question, because they usually have very large and curved front lenses and therefore there is no filter thread to attach such lenses to the camera in retro position. By the way, a good start are the classic KIT lenses (often in the focal length range 18 - 55 mm). But also old lenses, which you can buy for a few francs at the flea market or on ebay, are well suited, as long as they have a filter thread. Especially old lenses still have a mechanically adjustable aperture by means of an aperture ring.

Reflectors
Folding reflector or reflector The folding reflector is part of every professional photographer's equipment, whether in the studio or on location. The reflector reflects the continuous light, flash or sunlight that hits it back onto the subject. With a reflector, you can influence the illumination of the subject. The folding reflector controls the light and contrasts in your shot The colour of the reflector surface changes the light colour and influences the contrast: The white reflector side brightens the subject. The black side darkens it. The silver side provides cold light and emphasises the contrasts with hard shadows. The gold reflector side gives the whole thing a warm light and emphasises skin tones. The combination of gold and silver (zebra) creates warmer, sunny light. Grey also helps with white balance. Blue or green are used for coloured effects or as a background for cut-outs (bluescreen or greenscreen). Some reflector sets contain a diffuser as a basic module. It scatters the light and softens the transitions to the shadows. Working with a reflector is effortless. It is ready for use in a few simple steps and can be folded up just as quickly. To direct the reflected light onto the desired areas of the subject, the folding reflector should be used by an assistant, on a reflector holder with telescopic extension or on a lamp tripod with a suitable holder. It can be stored or transported for outdoor shots in a handy pouch or bag.
