2800 to 6500K continuously adjustable: You adapt to the light that’s already there instead of fighting it. No color cast that you’ll have to correct in Lightroom later. Dimming ranges from 0 to 100 percent, so you can also go for a softer look.

With the 15° reflector, you get 34,300 lux at a distance of one meter. That’s enough to cleanly isolate a face against daylight. For the entire scene, attach the 36° reflector to spread the light more widely.

Shooting on the Go

487 grams, 12.19 x 11 x 4.6 centimeters. You can bring the light along even when you’re usually just packing a camera and a lens. It’s controlled via the Godox Light app from up to 30 meters away, so you don’t have to stand right next to the light.

What You Should Know Before You Order

Do You Need Battery Power?

The light generally runs on a battery as well, but Kit 1 doesn’t include a battery grip—it’s powered by the AC adapter. If you regularly shoot in locations without power outlets, go with the Kit 2 with V-Mount grip. If you’re mostly indoors or in a studio, Kit 1 instead includes a tripod, a second reflector, and a softbox tilt mechanism.

Is the color accuracy sufficient for paid work?

CRI 97 and TLCI 98. This is the range where skin tones look natural without correction—not the range of cheap LEDs with a green cast.

Do you want to use your studio light modifiers?

You mount umbrellas using the included AD-E2 umbrella mount. For Bowens softboxes, you’ll also need the Bowens adapter, which isn’t included in the kit.
