Whether it’s for your camera monitor, clip-on light, or recorder: Most people have had NP-F batteries in their bags for a long time—often several at once. The Godox ML100R Kit2 uses exactly those. You get the RGB light with both reflectors and the AK-B01 handle, which accommodates NP-F batteries. No new battery system, no second charger, no cables lying on the floor.

NP-F batteries instead of a new battery system

What’s included

Light with protective cover, 15° - and 36° reflectors, AK-B01 handle with connecting cable, power adapter with cable, AD-E2 umbrella tilt head, and a storage bag. In the studio, you plug it into the power adapter; outdoors, you use the battery—no need to switch anything around.

You already have the batteries

NP-F is the format that’s been used for years in monitors, recorders, and clip-on lights. Anyone from the video world has three or four of them in their case and charges them with the charger they carry with them anyway. A V-mount setup costs many times as much.

Two reflectors for two lighting styles

The 15° lens reflector focuses the light tightly and maximizes the range. The 36° reflector spreads the light more widely when you want to add color to an entire scene. Both are included here; the base model comes with only the 15° reflector.

Warm light down to 1800K

Candlelight, a fireplace, the last minutes before sunset: At 1800K, you’re in a place a bi-color light with 2800K can’t reach.

465 grams, 12.2 x 4.6 x 11 centimeters—all in the included bag. The light, both reflectors, the handle, and the tilt mechanism come as a single package.

What You Should Know Before You Order

The NP-F batteries are not included

The AK-B01 is the handle; you’ll need to provide your own batteries. If you don’t have any yet, be sure to factor them into your cost. If you need long runtime per charge, check out the BG02 Handle with a built-in 95-Wh battery—it’s ready to use right away and has more reserve power than an NP-F.

Are you concerned about skin tones?

Then go with a bi-color light from the ML100Bi series. It doesn’t support RGB, but it has a CRI of 97 and a TLCI of 98 instead of the 95 here. For interviews and portraits, that’s the cleaner option. The ML100R really shines where color is desired.

Do you want to use light modifiers?

You can hang umbrellas from the included AD-E2 umbrella head. Godox softboxes like the ML-S1A attach directly to the Godox mount.
