Haida NanoPro Filter Set for DJI Mavic 4 Pro

You’re standing at the launch site in the midday sun and want to film with the Mavic 4 Pro. To achieve clean motion blur, you need a shutter speed that’s twice your frame rate—so 1/60 second for 4K at 30 frames per second. In this light, your image will be overexposed unless you stop down the aperture—but then you’ll lose sharpness. That’s exactly what these five filters are for, and they solve a problem unique to drones with multiple cameras.

One filter for three cameras

Why the ND filters are split

The Mavic 4 Pro has three cameras side by side: the Hasselblad with f/2.0 and two telephoto cameras with f/2.8. That’s a one-stop difference. A single, continuous ND filter would cause one of them to be underexposed. That’s why each of these filters features two densities that differ by exactly one stop. You can switch cameras mid-flight, and the exposure will remain accurate.

Four stops for four lighting situations

ND8/4 covers three and two stops, while ND64/32 covers six and five. In between are the ND16/8 and ND32/16, each one stop apart. This allows you to seamlessly cover everything from an overcast sky to midday sun over snow, without any situation falling between two filters.

The CPL for anything with reflections

Water, glass roofs, wet leaves: The polarizing filter removes reflections and reveals what lies beneath. Over lakes and rivers, this is the difference between a white expanse and a visible bottom.

Here’s what it looks like in everyday life

Midday sun over water

Attach an ND64/32, keep the aperture wide open, and set the shutter speed to 1/60. You retain the sharpness that f/11 takes away and capture motion in the image instead of choppy still frames.

Switching between wide-angle and telephoto

You start by capturing a scene with the Hasselblad and then zoom in with the 168-millimeter camera. Since the filter works for both apertures, the exposure doesn’t fluctuate on average.

Golden Hour

When the sun is low, an ND8/4 is sufficient. For photos, use the CPL instead—it restores the sky and colors that the scattered light dulls.

What You Should Know Before Ordering

These filters only fit the Mavic 4 Pro

The mount is designed for this drone’s camera housing. For a Mavic 3, Mini, or Air, you’ll need the set for your specific model. If you’re unsure exactly which drone you have, give us a call before ordering.

Stopping down isn’t an option

The Hasselblad has a variable aperture up to f/11, which could be used to reduce light. However, this comes at the cost of diffraction blur, and you lose control over the depth of field. The ND filter darkens the image without altering the optics.

No variable ND

There are four fixed levels; you manually swap out the filter when lighting conditions change. In return, you avoid the color casts and cross-patterns that variable filters exhibit at the edges.
