Adapter for using a clip-on flash together with a light shaper with Elinchrom connection

This adapter allows you to use a clip-on flash for targeted lighting together with an Elinchrom light shaper such as a softbox, a reflector or a spot attachment.
It can also be used as a flash tilt together with a reflector or transmitted light umbrella. The speedring adapter has an inch spigot mount.

Easy mounting of a clip-on flash thanks to a clamping mechanism

The clip-on flash is simply mounted in the adapter using a clamping mechanism. The clamping width is variably adjusted from 27 to 52 mm using a hand screw. This allows the speedring adapter to be used with flash units from a wide range of manufacturers and sizes. A rubber coating on the contact surface ensures that the clip-on flash is held securely in the clamp.

The speedring adapter can be tilted forwards and backwards by 90 degrees in individual locking steps using a panhead. This enables variable alignment of the light shaper for targeted lighting in studio photography. The panhead is released using a hand screw with a long lever and can be adjusted in 20 locking steps. The locking steps ensure that the panhead is held securely in the respective position and prevent a softbox, for example, from dropping unintentionally due to the weight.

With a 5/8 inch spigot connection, the speed ring adapter can be mounted on a lamp tripod together with the attached flash and light shaper. The speedring adapter is securely fastened to the lamp tripod with a hand screw.

Thanks to an umbrella holder, the Speedring adapter can also be used together with a reflector umbrella or a translucent umbrella instead of a light shaper from Elinchrom. The umbrella is quickly and easily attached to the umbrella holder, making it easy to quickly switch between use with a light shaper and a reflector/ transmitted light umbrella.

The holder also has a mount for umbrellas, which is attached using a clamping plate and the diameter of the umbrella can be over 8 mm.

Note: This adapter is only suitable for clip-on flashes with a square flash head. Flashes such as the Godox V1 or V1Pro CANNOT be used with this adapter.
