The Studio Translucent Umbrella softens the harsh light from the flash and provides more even, natural lighting for studio shoots. It has a similar effect as a large studio softbox, but is much cheaper and easy to transport and set up.
The transmitted light umbrella is simply plugged into the umbrella holder of the studio flash light and stretched open. Perfect for studio photography "on location".
In this case, the silver inner covering, in contrast to a white colored inner covering, provides a harder illumination of the model, which makes skin, for example, look much more grainy and harder. The black outer skin of the reflective umbrella prevents unnecessary light loss to the outside.
