The VB-26 and VB30 look similar but aren’t interchangeable. The VB30 is used in the V1Pro, the V100, and the MF-T76 macro flash, among others. The versions of the VB26 series are compatible

Godox has continued to develop the battery over the years, which is why you’ll see model numbers with an appended letter. The versions differ in capacity but are identical in design and work with the same flash unit and charger. So you can easily use a newer battery alongside an older one without having to replace your charger. The runtime depends on the specific battery.

It requires a charging cradle, even the latest version

The VB-26 does not have its own USB port in any of its versions. So you always charge it in a charging cradle and not directly via the battery itself, unlike the VB30 from the other Godox series. If you already have the charger from your first battery, you don’t need anything else, since it works with all versions in the series. If you want to charge multiple batteries at once, you’ll find chargers for three batteries simultaneously in the flash accessories.
