Haida Gray Graduated Filter ND 0.9 Soft Degrees for 100mm Filter Holder
Gray graduated filter from the Haida 100mm system - can be used on almost any lens
The 100mm system is considered the standard system. It is equally suitable for SLR cameras but also for mirrorless cameras.
With a compatible filter holder and the appropriate adapter rings, the filter can then be used on almost any of your lenses. You only need a matching adapter ring for each lens.
A gray graduated filter is used to achieve an even exposure on subjects with strong differences in brightness.
A gray graduated filter is divided into two zones, a clear zone and a neutral gray zone. The gray zone reduces the amount of light entering the lens. The clear zone allows light to pass through unobstructed.
This allows the image to be evenly exposed. Example, sunset on a mountain range, the sky overexposed and the mountain dark. With the help of the gray filter zone, the lighter area of the image is darkened in order to then set the appropriate exposure for the darker area of the image. This allows the image to be correctly exposed over the entire image area.
Available in different grayscales and with gradient boundaries of varying hardness
Haida gradient filters are available from us in a wide range of variants. There are different versions with different dark gray areas. Differentiated in the gray levels and in the gradients of these gray levels.
Filters with hard gradients, i.e. with a very abrupt separation between the clear and the gray zone, are suitable for motifs with a clearly defined and straight horizon, e.g. sunset at the sea.
Filters with soft gradients are suitable for motifs with a less clearly defined horizon. These are for example slightly hilly mountain landscapes or landscapes in general.
Metal box for safe storage and transportation
The scope of delivery of the filters includes a metal box. This is perfect for transporting or storing the filter well protected.
All advantages at a glance:
Soft edge filter with soft gradient
Compensates for differences in brightness in one shot (up to three f-stops)
Ideal for landscape photography
High-quality optical glass with nano coating
Absolute color neutrality
Red-Diamond version, break resistance significantly increased
Scratch-resistant multi-coating suppresses reflections
Rounded R5 edges for easier mounting
Suitable for full-frame cameras and lenses from 16 millimeter focal length (APS-C from 11 millimeter)
Also fits other 100m systems, such as 100mm Inc, Cokin Z, Lee Kasse, Loch, NiSi, Sioti, Formatt Hitech, B & W etc.

In case you are wondering How does the aperture reduction of ND filters pay off? It goes like this.
The density of ND filters is usually given in steps of 0.3.
To get the aperture reduction, first multiply the value by 10 and then divide it by 3.
0.3 x 10 = 3 | 3 = 1 f-stop
0.6 x 10 = 6 | 3 = 2 f-stops
1.2 x 10 = 12 | 3 = 4 f-stops
3.0 x 10 = 30 | 3 = 10 f-stops
3.6 x 10 = 36 | 3 = 12 f-stops
4.5 x 10 = 45 | 3 = 15 f-stops
The manufacturer Haida specializes in the production of high quality filters for various uses in photography. Haida filters are all made of optical glass. Haida produces filter holders as well as screw filters. The filter holders for plug-in filters are available in the width of 100 mm and 150 mm in our assortment. There are also matching Haida adapter rings in different sizes. Of course, Haid also manufactures ND and GND filters in various dimensions. The Haida ND filters are mainly used in landscape photography. When it comes to coating, the Haida company uses the NanoPro MC designation for multi-coated surfaces, with the NanoPro series being the most current version. Haida systems are available for all sizes of lenses from different manufacturers. The kit Haida M10 II system for 100 mm should not be missing on any photographer's wish list. Haida filters can be used especially well for shooting with water. Haida products do not need to be afraid of comparison with other products such as those from Lee. The ND or gray filters are available in different strengths. So that not too much time is lost in post-processing, the filters from Haid are color-neutral. With the Haida M10 series, you can make perfect long exposures. The corresponding 100 mm graduated filters can be mounted high or low in the filter holder. For ultra-wide angles, Haida also has a corresponding solution in its range, namely the M15 system. With a width of 150 mm, these filters cover a wider angle of view compared to the 100 mm. If such an ultra-wide angle is on your wish list, please be sure to note the Haida M15, there are various adapters for the most diverse combinations. Haida also has rear lens filters, these mount in the lens bayonet and are available in various strengths. Simply put, you can find the right filter for every application in Haida's range. Whether these are then used in the city or in the countryside, it does not matter. The products are also accompanied by brochures or manuals in English that give an overview of the entire range.
