The grey Fastpack BP 250 AW III photo backpack from Lowepro is a versatile backpack with two main compartments, including a camera compartment on the bottom of the bag for a small DSLR or mirrorless camera with three or four lenses, including an attached 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. It is positioned so that it is accessible when the bag is turned from the back to the front, with the left side facing up. The camera compartment zipper contains an internal clip system that allows the wearer to ensure that the zipper opening is only accessible from the side. Alternatively, the clip system can be released so that the pull-off opening can be fully opened and retracted to allow full access to the camera compartment, e.g. when the bag is lying on a flat surface with the backpack straps facing downwards. Above the camera compartment is a zipped top storage compartment with space for packable clothing and organiser pockets to store travel documents, camera batteries, memory cards or small electronic devices.

When the Fastpack BP 250 AW III is in use, a special zipped compartment for a 13" laptop is located directly behind the shoulders, followed by the two main compartments. For items that need to be accessed quickly and conveniently, there is a top-facing zipped pocket on the front. This pocket can be used as storage for a notepad, cards or snacks. The zipper has a large, easy-grip handle, as do the zippers of the lower camera compartment and the upper storage compartment. The expandable side pocket on the right side has room for a water bottle. A small tripod or monopod can be stowed in the side pocket and secured with the tether strap above.

The Fastpack BP 250 AW III is weatherproof and has a seam-sealed cover for use in heavy rain.

Fit and handling
