Here you have the right solution, the so-called DC coupler, which looks like an original battery, but has no inner life.
With this you can power your camera via a separate power supply and can shoot as long as you want.
This set is also available from Canon, the power supply is called Canon CA-PS700 and the battery Canon DR-E17 DC-Kuppler.
