Dynamic USB-C Microphone with Advanced DSP RODE X XDM-100
The Rode X XDM-100 is a USB-C microphone with advanced DSP and built-in high-gain preamp for gaming and streaming applications. The dynamic microphone capsule is designed to be positioned close to the speaker and reduce unwanted ambient noise and room reflections from a greater distance, making the XDM-100 ideal for use in untreated rooms and home studios. In addition, the cardioid polar pattern focuses sound in front of the microphone and picks up less sound from behind and to the sides, resulting in a clean and clear vocal sound.
The XDM-100 connects easily via a plug-and-play USB-C connection and can be monitored through headphones. The microphone is powered via the USB-C bus, and the built-in 24-bit/48 kHz analog-to-digital converter ensures stable signal levels. The latency-free 3.5mm headphone jack with volume control and microphone mute switch lets you listen to the audio in real time and hear exactly what the microphone capsule is picking up. The included pop shield reduces breath and pop noise, while the shock mount isolates the microphone and reduces vibration noise. A 3-meter headphone extension cable is also included for ample freedom of movement when podcasting, broadcasting or gaming.
Rode's UNIFY audio software is also included, allowing you to activate additional features of the microphone's powerful internal DSP and mix up to four USB microphones simultaneously for podcasting and streaming applications.
UNIFY software puts you in full control of your audio. The intuitive software allows you to set up all audio inputs and outputs in one intuitive mixer. No matter how complex your streaming or gaming setup, the software is quick to set up and easy to use, so you can get up and running with incredible audio in no time. You can mix up to four microphones and six virtual audio devices, including your game, chat, music, system, and browser. UNIFY's built-in recording feature lets you seamlessly record your livestream and then optimize it for major audio platforms. You can choose between stereo or multitrack recording for maximum flexibility in content creation. Plus, you can create independent submixes for all outputs to create the perfect audio experience for your audience, your teammates, and yourself. You can monitor all audio sources in full resolution.
You can tailor the sound of the XDM-100 to your voice with APHEX's advanced processing features like the legendary Aural Exciter and Big Bottom. Use the compressor, noise gate, and high-pass filter to remove background noise and create a smooth, detailed, and punchy sound. You have the ability to precisely control and refine each element, similar to professional audio mixing software. When you use UNIFY with a Rode X microphone, a powerful DSP chip in the microphone does all the audio processing, taking the load off your processor and allowing you to hear everything in real time through your headphones.
