Haida 6-Stop ND Filter, 55 mm The Haida 6-Stop ND Filter, 55 mm, is a high-quality screw-in filter designed for creative photography and video recording in bright light. With a light reduction of 6 stops, it allows you to achieve controlled long exposures and precise exposure—without color distortion. Who it’s for You photograph landscapes with flowing water or moving clouds You want to work with long exposure times in daylight You photograph with a wide aperture in bright light You want to maintain correct exposure times in video You’re a beginner or advanced photographer looking for more control Advantages at a glance 6-stop light reduction for striking creative effects 64× longer exposure times possible Neutral color reproduction without color cast High-quality optical glass for clear image quality Nano-Pro multi-coating against water, oil, and dirt Slim design reduces vignetting Robust aluminum frame What makes this product special The Haida ND64 filter combines precise light reduction with neutral color rendering—a decisive advantage over many cheaper neutral density filters. The Nano-Pro coating ensures that water, fingerprints, and dirt barely stick and can be easily removed. At the same time, the slim design minimizes edge shading, which is particularly important for wide-angle shots. Compatibility This screw-in filter is compatible with all lenses featuring a 55mm filter thread. Technical Details Filter Type: ND Filter (Neutral Density Filter) Density: 6 f-stops Light Reduction: 64× Density: 1.8 Material: Optical Glass Coating: Nano-Pro Multicoating Features: Water-, oil-, and dirt-repellent Color Rendering: Neutral Frame Material: Aluminum Design: Slim Included Haida ND Filter Neutral Density Filter 6 Stops 55mm Conclusion The Haida ND Filter 55mm is a reliable choice for anyone looking to achieve long exposures and creative effects in daylight. You’ll benefit from crisp image quality, robust construction, and easy handling—ideal for both photography and video. Notice:This gray filter usually does not interfere with the automatic exposure metering of the camera. It can therefore be used in all automatic modes (e.g. P, Av, Tv). With some cameras, however, it may be necessary to cover the viewfinder so that the exposure metering is not distorted by incident light. Further, with filters of 3 f-stops or more, it is no longer possible to see on the camera screen. For this reason, focusing and image cropping would have to be done beforehand.Due to the slim design, the lens cap does not sit as snugly as without a filter and can therefore fall off more quickly.  The aperture reduction of ND filters is calculated as follows:The density of ND filters is usually given in steps of 0.3.To get the aperture reduction, first multiply the value by 10 and then divide it by 3. 0.3 x 10 = 3 | 3 = 1 f-stop0.9 x 10 = 9 | 3 = 3 f-stops0.6 x 10 = 6 | 3 = 2 f-stops1.2 x 10 = 12 | 3 = 4 f-stops1.8 x 10 = 18 | 3 = 6 f-stops3.0 x 10 = 30 | 3 = 10 f-stops3.6 x 10 = 36 | 3 = 12 f-stops4.5 x 10 = 45 | 3 = 15 f-stops

Haida NanoPro Varibale ND Filter 55mm
Haida NanoPro Varibale ND Filter 55mm
Diameter: 55mm
Haida Variable Gray Filter Fader 55mm with Nano Pro multiple coating. Gray filters are suitable for many different purposes. The best known is probably their use for lengthening the exposure time, so that water movements are shown "velvety" or to make places appear deserted. But a gray filter is also not out of place in the studio, because often you want to choose a small f-number to keep the focus area small. For videographers, variable ND filters are almost essential and are in every videographer's backpack, since it is not possible to change filters very quickly while filming. This allows videographers to quickly change the ND range they need. The Haida Gray Filter Fader is continuously adjustable, so you can leave all other gray filters at home. Neutral densities from ND1.2 - ND-2.7 can be adjusted by simply turning, similar to a polarizing filter. When there is too much light or light of different brightness in the subject, the gray filter reduces the amount of light without changing color tones or contrasts in the image. If you want to take a picture of flowing water, for example, you would have to choose a slow shutter speed; without the use of a gray filter, this would result in a considerably overexposed image. Use the Haida gray filter at ISO100, with a slow shutter speed and a high f-number and you will get your desired image with flowing water. The design of the filter is such that the front diameter is larger than the lens mount. Information about the vignetting of this filter can be found below in the available downloads.High-quality processing and coating for flawless image qualityThe scratch-resistant optical glass and thin construction of the ND filter ensure flawless image quality, without vignetting or flare effects. The water-repellent Nano Pro multi-coating makes the gray filter durable and meets the highest demands in terms of quality and imaging performance. All advantages at a glance:For slower shutter speeds and more open apertures in daylight.High-quality optical Nano Pro glassScratch-resistant and water-repellentColor cast free, high sharpnessOverbuilt design for zero vignetting Lens cap not mountableMultiple filters can be combined thanks to front thread Technical details:Material: multi-coated optical Nano Pro glass in high-quality metal mount Protection against: splash water, dirt, dust, oil, scratches etc. Extension factor: 1.2 - 2.7 (4 to 9 stops)Filter size: 55mmOverall height: 7mmOverbuilt design: Front part larger than connection thread to prevent vignetting Stop: No stop Lens cap mountable: No Front thread available: 62mmFilters stackable with each other (Attention: the more filters on top of each other, the more vignetting will result) Scope of delivery:1 x Haida Variable Gray Filter 55mm 1 x storage boxThe aperture reduction of ND filters is calculated as follows:The density of ND filters is usually given in steps of 0.3.To get the aperture reduction, first multiply the value by 10 and then divide it by 3.0.3 x 10 = 3 | 3 = 1 f-stop0.9 x 10 = 9 | 3 = 3 f-stops0.6 x 10 = 6 | 3 = 2 f-stops1.2 x 10 = 12 | 3 = 4 f-stops1.8 x 10 = 18 | 3 = 6 f-stops3.0 x 10 = 30 | 3 = 10 f-stops3.6 x 10 = 36 | 3 = 12 f-stops4.5 x 10 = 45 | 3 = 15 f-stops
