Off-camera flash is fun – until every power change means digging through the camera menu. The Yongnuo YN-622C-TX is a radio transmitter for Canon with its own LCD screen: you control up to three flash groups right on the trigger, switch between TTL and manual power and use high-speed sync. It pairs with Yongnuo YN-622C receivers.

Everything on the screen

Power, flash exposure compensation in 1/3 stops and zoom are set per group directly on the YN-622C-TX. That saves time on set and keeps you connected with your subject instead of buried in the camera menu.

Mix TTL and manual

Group A in TTL, group B on manual 1/8 and group C driving a studio strobe via Super Sync: modes can be combined per group. Flash Value Lock (FVL) holds a metered TTL output.

Fast shutter speeds in daylight

HSS lets you shoot wide open even in bright sun. Super Sync lets studio strobes and speedlites without HSS work at shutter speeds above your camera's sync speed, with the timing adjustable manually per group.

Two Canon speedlites on YN-622C receivers stand either side of your subject. You darken the sky at 1/2000 s with HSS, run the key light in TTL and dial in the rim light manually – all from the transmitter on your camera.

What you should know before you order

Transmitter only, receivers sold separately

The YN-622C-TX is the on-camera transmitter only. Every off-camera flash needs a Yongnuo YN-622C receiver or a flash with the YN-622 radio system built in. It is not compatible with other radio systems such as Canon RT or Godox X.

Check compatibility with newer bodies

The YN-622C-TX is a proven trigger for Canon EOS DSLRs (list below). The manufacturer has not published a compatibility list for mirrorless Canon EOS R models – ask us before you buy if you shoot EOS R.
