With the Yongnuo YN-622N you can control and monitor your flash units in a very convenient way. In addition to manual power control and power distribution control for different groups and channels, the YN-622N offers high-speed synchronisation up to 1/8000s.

i-TTL passthrough and mix mode

In mix mode, several flash units can be operated simultaneously in both i-TTL and manual mode. The i-TTL Passthrough mode allows the TTL signal to be looped through to a flash on the transmitter on the camera. The YN-622N supports 7 channels in three groups.

The camera name can be used to control the power of the flashes on compatible devices. This allows you to easily change the flash settings without having to run back and forth. This saves you having to use the assistant, who can get you drinks instead.

With high-speed synchronisation, you can control the shutter speed beyond the normal speed of 1/250s up to 1/8000s. Take great photos in bright sunlight, capture darn fast movements or block out daylight almost completely.

This function is also possible with studio flashes.

To operate the YN-622 on a studio flash or Porty, you need the separately available PC sync cable.
The transceivers (transmitter and receiver) are identical on the YN-622N. The radio trigger automatically recognises whether it is mounted on the camera or connected to a flash. The trigger works with all Yongnuo and Canon flashes. All modes such as i-TTL, manual and also multi or strobe flash are supported. You can synchronise the triggering to either the first or second shutter curtain.

Due to Nikon's i-TTL system, it is not possible to control the YN-622N via the camera name. This is done either directly on the transceiver via certain button combinations or via a commander/master-compatible flash unit (SB-700, SB-900, SB-910, SU-800) that can be placed in the hot shoe of the transmitter. This allows you to use the radio system of the YN-622 trigger instead of the infrared signal of the master unit, thus increasing the range of the entire system.
