Automatic exposure and manual control

The YN-622N II wirelessly transmits TTL communication between camera and flash. Compatible flash units can be used in i-TTL mode or with manually adjusted flash power. Supported features include flash exposure compensation (FEC), flash exposure lock (FEL) and flash exposure bracketing (FEB).

Flexible control of multiple flash groups

With three groups and seven wireless channels, you can organize multiple flashes and balance their output to suit your setup. Mixed mode allows compatible flash units to operate in i-TTL and manual mode at the same time. This gives you versatile lighting options for portraits, product photography and other creative work.

High-speed sync up to 1/8000 s

Flash photography at fast shutter speeds

High-speed sync enables flash photography at shutter speeds above the camera's normal flash sync speed, up to 1/8000 s when supported by the camera and flash. This is especially useful for portraits in bright daylight when shooting with a wide aperture or controlling ambient light.

Compatible with studio flashes

The PC sync connection can trigger compatible studio flashes and manual flash units. A separate PC sync cable may be required. Available sync functions depend on the camera and flash being used.

Practical upgrades in version II

Quick-lock shoe and firmware updates

The second version features a quick-lock hot shoe and supports USB firmware updates. It also offers multiple communication modes, including 622 mode and 560-RX mode, for integration with compatible Yongnuo wireless systems.

Transceiver design for flexible use

The transmitter and receiver units are identical. Each unit automatically detects whether it is mounted on the camera or connected to a flash. A wireless setup requires two transceivers: one on the camera and one on the flash. Additional receivers can expand the system.

The YN-622N II is designed for compatible Nikon cameras and Nikon i-TTL and Yongnuo flash units. Supported flashes include Nikon SB-400, SB-600, SB-700, SB-800, SB-900 and SB-910, as well as Yongnuo YN-465, YN-467, YN-468 II, YN-565 and YN-568. Please check compatibility with your camera and flash before ordering.

Nikon camera menu

Due to Nikon's i-TTL system, the YN-622N II cannot be controlled through the camera menu on every camera. Settings can be adjusted directly on the transceiver or through a compatible master flash unit.

Batteries not included

Each transceiver requires two AA batteries. Batteries are not included. Rechargeable AA batteries can be used.
