Clearer voices straight into the camera

Filter out the noise

The two-step low-cut (75 or 150 Hz) reduces hum from air conditioning, traffic or footsteps, while the shock mount isolates handling noise from the camera.

Levels that suit your camera

Many cameras get noisy when you crank their input. With +10 dB on the mic, you can keep the camera's gain lower – or drop to -10 dB for loud sources.

Camera or smartphone

With a TRS cable for cameras and a TRRS cable for phones, plus a cold shoe and 1/4" thread, the IVM-S2 fits on your camera, a phone rig or a gimbal.

What it looks like in practice

Vlog and product video

Mount the IVM-S2 in the hot shoe for a vlog with low-cut at 75 Hz and gain at +10 dB. Later, screw it onto a mini tripod at your desk and record the voice-over for a product video.

Good to know before you order

Needs an AA battery

The mic runs on a 1.5 V AA battery – not plug-in power or USB. Always keep a spare handy.

A shotgun, not a wireless system

The IVM-S2 sits on the camera, so the further away your subject is, the more room sound it captures. For distance interviews, a wireless mic is the better choice.

Foam windscreen only

A foam windscreen is included. For windy outdoor shoots, add a furry windscreen.
