Pressing the shutter button by hand adds blur to long exposures, macro shots and time-lapses – and a cable release keeps you tied to the tripod. The Godox TR-C1 is a wireless timer remote made up of a transmitter and a receiver: fire the camera from up to 100 m away and program delay, exposure time and intervals right on the transmitter. This version fits Canon cameras with a 2.5 mm remote port (type C1).

Sharp shots without touching the camera

No more camera shake

Because you never touch the camera, there is no vibration from pressing the shutter. With long exposures, long telephoto lenses and macro work, that is the difference between tack-sharp and slightly soft.

Program time-lapses and long exposures

Set shutter delay, exposure duration, interval and number of shots on the transmitter – even in groups with pauses in between. Your time-lapse or bulb series then runs on its own.

Wireless instead of a cable

Godox rates the radio link at up to 100 m. Wait in the car while the camera shoots the night sky, or step into the frame and trigger from a distance.

What it looks like in practice

Sunset time-lapse

Camera on the tripod, receiver plugged into the remote port: set an interval of a few seconds and the number of frames, press start – and enjoy the evening.

Long exposure by the water

With an ND filter and bulb mode you can expose for minutes. Set the duration on the transmitter instead of timing it on your phone.

What to know before you order

Only for cameras with a 2.5 mm port (C1)

The TR-C1 comes with the Canon 2.5 mm jack cable. Cameras with the round three-pin port (e.g. Canon EOS 5D and 1D series) need a different version. Check which port your camera has before ordering – the official compatibility list is below.

Batteries

Transmitter and receiver run on batteries rather than a built-in rechargeable cell. Keep spares at hand for long time-lapse sessions.
