Flexibility is the maxim of the Godox VL 200 II The LED continuous light, which can be used indoors and outdoors, is not only interesting for hobby photographers. Professionals on the film set also appreciate its day-bright luminosity, handiness and operation via remote control. For outdoor shoots, you can use the battery-powered continuous light.
Daylight conditions with the long-life LED light source
Using continuous light is not only useful in video production. In photography, you have the illumination continuously under control with continuous light instead of flash light. This allows you to focus your attention on the photography itself.
For continuous light photography, Godox VL 200 II offers you lighting conditions that come very close to daylight, even under studio conditions. The color temperature of the lamp is 5600 Kelvin and remains constant over time. With a CRI and TLCI value of 95, the Godox VL 200 II is one of the luminaires with highly precise color rendering. Even skin tones can be reproduced realistically with its help.
In addition, the continuous light convinces with all the advantages that LED lamps basically bring. The luminaire is extremely energy-efficient: the LED continuous light requires only 215 watts for the power of the 2000 W halogen lamp that was previously standard. Its service life of up to 100,000 hours is significantly longer than that of its predecessors. Because LED lights hardly generate any heat, the ventilating cooling system can also work so quietly that you will only hear it in a whisper. Especially important for photographers and film producers: The LED light produces its light flicker-free.
Flexible lightweight with remote control
The particularly low weight of the permanent light at 2.9 kilograms is explained by the fact that the light control and battery plate are housed in a separate control box. This gives you flexibility for the ideal positioning of your lighting. Umbrellas for different light modifications can be attached directly to the device: The Bowens-style reflector mount is suitable for a wide range of models. The 5/8 inch base allows you to mount the continuous light on common lamp tripods or booms.
For larger setups, you can save yourself some long walks by controlling the continuous light via radio remote. In addition to the corresponding antenna, another one for Bluetooth reception is included. It allows you to control the light from Android or iOS devices instead of wirelessly using the Godox Photo app. If that's too much for you, you can simply use the Godox RC-A6 remote control. Another option is of course the control via the controller with LCD display. In this way you can adjust the light output in 10-watt increments or 1-percent nuances to the conditions on site.
Independent of the mains with the battery-powered continuous light
A special feature of the Godox VL200 II is that you can use it without a power supply. The LED continuous light photography battery not only has a 4 -pin XLR power cable, but can also be operated via two optional V-mount batteries. Protective cap and carrying bag are included.
