This neutral density filter generally does not interfere with the camera’s automatic exposure metering. It can therefore be used in all automatic modes (e.g., P, Av, Tv). With some cameras, however, it may be necessary to cover the viewfinder to prevent incoming light from distorting the exposure metering. Furthermore, with filters of 3 stops or more, the image is no longer visible on the camera screen. For this reason, you must focus and select the framing beforehand.
