A polariser and a variable ND in one – and magnetically expandable on top: the Haida X in 1 in 82 mm combines a circular polariser with a variable ND of 1 to 5 stops in a single filter body. With the magnetic enhancer filter you extend the range to up to 7 stops when needed. So you control exposure, reflections and saturation in one move – from early morning to bright midday light.
- CPL-VND filter body: circular polariser plus variable ND 1–5 stops, Ø 82 mm thread
- Magnetically expandable to 1–7 stops with the Magnetic Enhancer Filter (3–7 stops)
- 0.1% ultra-low reflection coating – around 60% less reflection than standard coatings, less stray light, flare and ghosting
- Step-based adjustment with a self-locking lever against accidental shifts and cross shadow
Two filters in one – and a whole magnetic system
Polariser and variable ND combined
The filter body is a CPL-VND: you dial reflections away and lift saturation like a polariser, while smoothly setting the light from 1 to 5 stops. The low starting value is ideal for low-light scenes such as morning, evening and indoor shots.
Magnetically expandable
For stronger outdoor light, add the magnetic enhancer filter (3–7 stops): 1–5 becomes 1–7 stops for fast, flexible exposure control. The front also accepts other NanoPro magnetic filters – such as graduated ND for balancing bright skies or clear-night for cutting light pollution. The magnetic Mist Black 1/4 attaches and removes for a cinematic look, without affecting image quality when it isn't needed.
How this works in practice
Adjust cleanly, lock securely
The step-based adjustment prevents cross-shadowing on large ND jumps and keeps the image clean on full-frame focal lengths from 16 mm. The self-locking lever automatically locks the ND setting so nothing shifts while filming – and lets you fine-tune both VND and CPL angle. The wide-angle structure keeps vignetting at the frame edges low.
What you should know before you order
For lenses with an 82 mm filter thread
This version has an 82 mm thread (wide-angle front Ø 86 mm). Check your lens's filter diameter (marked on the lens cap or lens, usually as a Ø value). The system is also available in 67, 72, 77 and 95 mm.
Focal length recommendation
For clean corners, full-frame focal lengths from 16 mm are recommended; with the magnetic lens hood (HD4907) fitted, 35 mm or above to avoid vignetting.

The manufacturer Haida specializes in the production of high quality filters for various uses in photography. Haida filters are all made of optical glass. Haida produces filter holders as well as screw filters. The filter holders for plug-in filters are available in the width of 100 mm and 150 mm in our assortment. There are also matching Haida adapter rings in different sizes. Of course, Haid also manufactures ND and GND filters in various dimensions. The Haida ND filters are mainly used in landscape photography. When it comes to coating, the Haida company uses the NanoPro MC designation for multi-coated surfaces, with the NanoPro series being the most current version. Haida systems are available for all sizes of lenses from different manufacturers. The kit Haida M10 II system for 100 mm should not be missing on any photographer's wish list. Haida filters can be used especially well for shooting with water. Haida products do not need to be afraid of comparison with other products such as those from Lee. The ND or gray filters are available in different strengths. So that not too much time is lost in post-processing, the filters from Haid are color-neutral. With the Haida M10 series, you can make perfect long exposures. The corresponding 100 mm graduated filters can be mounted high or low in the filter holder. For ultra-wide angles, Haida also has a corresponding solution in its range, namely the M15 system. With a width of 150 mm, these filters cover a wider angle of view compared to the 100 mm. If such an ultra-wide angle is on your wish list, please be sure to note the Haida M15, there are various adapters for the most diverse combinations. Haida also has rear lens filters, these mount in the lens bayonet and are available in various strengths. Simply put, you can find the right filter for every application in Haida's range. Whether these are then used in the city or in the countryside, it does not matter. The products are also accompanied by brochures or manuals in English that give an overview of the entire range.
