The Haida magnetic system is an easy to use system. The filter is held magnetically on the lens with this system. There is no need to unscrew or unscrew the lens. Changing filters has never been so easy.
The Clear Night magnetic filter is made of ultra-thin glass with a thickness of 1.2 mm. It is designed to reduce light pollution in images or videos that include the night sky, and to minimize illumination from artificial light sources such as sodium vapor, mercury vapor and LED street lamps with low CRI.
Light pollution occurs in areas of the night sky that are üover or near concentrated and intense artificial light sources, such as in cities. These sources include streetlights, exterior and interior lights of commercial and residential buildings, lighting of sports and entertainment venues, and brightly lit billboards. Together, they can lead to a type of light pollution known as skyglow, which obscures individual stars, the Milky Way, and other astronomical features in the night sky. In addition, artificial lights that line up can become a source of distraction in an image and üoverexposed areas with glare effects.
This filter is made of optical glass that provides clarity and color fidelity. The surfaces feature multiple anti-reflective coatings that maximize light transmission while improving contrast and resolution. Proprietary nano-coatings provide an additional layer of protection that repels water and makes it easier to remove dirt, debris, and oils without leaving any residue.
