With a long lens on a monopod, you only want to tilt and pan. A ball head that gives way in every direction just gets in the way. The Sunwayfoto DT-03S is a compact two-way tilt head with exactly those two axes. It weighs 363 g, holds up to 15 kg and comes with an Arca-Swiss lens plate.

Steady control for long lenses
Only the movement you need
The DT-03S tilts forward and back through 180° and pans 360° on its base. It never flops sideways, which keeps it calm on a monopod while you track birds or athletes.
Locked when it counts
There's a locking knob on each side. Tighten one or both, with both giving maximum holding power. The elongated knobs and the pan knob are ratcheted so they don't get in each other's way.
Built for outdoor use
The body is T6061 aluminium with stainless steel at the stress points and a hard-anodised finish, so it holds up to long days outside.

Your 150–600 mm sits on the DPG-80DRL plate in the DT-03S on a monopod. Loosen one knob, tilt up to the heron and pan with it as it takes off. While you wait, lock both knobs and the rig stays put.
What you should know before you order
Not a ball head
The DT-03S is a two-axis tilt head. For portrait orientation with the camera mounted directly or for angled setups, a ball head is more practical. With a telephoto lens, you simply rotate the tripod collar for portrait shots.
Designed for lenses with a tripod collar
The included DPG-80DRL is a lens plate for tripod collars. To mount a camera body directly, you'll need a matching Arca-Swiss camera plate or L-bracket.
3/8" mounting thread
The base has a 3/8" female thread. Tripods with a 1/4" screw need an adapter.
