The Godox BDR-C420 is the honeycomb grid for the BDR-S420 beauty dish (40 cm). Pop the grid into the dish and light tightens–from broad beauty coverage to tight spot. Perfect for eye light, detail work, portrait accents. Fits only BDR-S420 (40 cm), not larger 50 or 54 cm dishes.

What does honeycomb do?
Beauty dish bare: lights broad area. With honeycomb: only grid pattern lights. That's a tight, focused beam, without losing beauty dish character. Not as harsh as a snoot, but much tighter than bare dish.
Fast switchover
Beauty dish setup: grid in for spot. Grid out for broad light. Two-second studio switch. No extra strobes needed–one BDR-S420 with/without grid makes two very different lights.
For whom?
Photographers who need eye light but don't want to buy separate snoot gear. Or detail sessions where you need pinpoint accents.
Warning: 40cm BDR-S420 only
BDR-C420 fits only the 40cm BDR-S420. Not the 50cm (BDR-S550, BDR-W550)–those need BDR-C550. And not the 54cm Pro (BDR-S55-Pro)–it ships with its own grid.
