The Godox BDR-C550 is the honeycomb grid for the BDR-S550 beauty dish (50 cm silver) or BDR-W550 (50 cm white). Pop it in the dish and light tightens-from broad beauty coverage to tight spot. Perfect for eye light, detail work, portrait accents on standard beauty dishes. Doesn't fit 40 or 54cm versions.

What does honeycomb do?
The 50cm beauty dish bare: lights broad area. With honeycomb: only grid pattern lights. That's a tight, focused beam. Not as harsh as a snoot, but much tighter than bare dish. Ideal when you need beauty dish character but with tighter coverage.
Fast switchover in two setups
Studio setup: one standard beauty dish with grid for eye light and details, one without for broad beauty light. Two-second studio switch. No extra strobes needed-one BDR-S550 with/without BDR-C550 makes two very different lights.
Works on both 50cm versions
BDR-C550 fits BDR-S550 (silver, specular) AND BDR-W550 (white, diffuse). Whichever base dish you have-the grid tightens light the same way.
Warning: not for other sizes
BDR-C550 fits only 50cm (S550, W550). Not 40cm (BDR-S420)-need BDR-C420 for that. And not 54cm Pro (BDR-S55-Pro)-it ships with its own grid.
