The vari-angle touchscreen on the Nikon Z50II is in constant use: tapping to focus, checking shots, filming with the monitor flipped out. That is exactly when the fine scratches appear that later catch the light. The GGS Larmor screen protector puts 0.3 mm of optical glass over the monitor and takes those marks instead.
- Screen protector in Japanese optical glass for the Nikon Z50II
- Just 0.3 mm thin, 8H hardness
- Over 90% light transmission for a clear monitor image
- Holds by adhesion with no glue, bubble-free fitting
- Comes off again without leaving residue
A clear image and a protected monitor
Optical glass instead of film
The protector is made of Japanese optical glass in six layers. More than 90% of the light passes through, the monitor image stays clear and you judge sharpness and exposure as usual.
8H hardness against scratches
At 8H hardness the glass stands up to daily use: jacket buttons, buckles and grains of sand leave their marks on the protector, not on the monitor. The glass is impact resistant, dust repellent and resistant to ageing.
Bubble-free fitting
The glass is not glued on; it holds by adhesion. Line it up with the edge of the monitor, lay it down and it settles without bubbles. No tools needed.
Comes off without residue
With no glue involved, the glass lifts off easily and leaves no residue on the monitor. That is handy if you sell the camera later.
How this works in practice
Travelling and filming
The Z50II hangs from its strap with the monitor flipped forward for a vlog shot, rubbing against your jacket, a zip or your backpack. With the glass fitted, all of that lands on a layer you can replace if needed, not on the monitor itself.
What you should know before you order
Fits the Nikon Z50II only
The glass is cut for the monitor of the Nikon Z50II. There is a separate version for the Nikon Z50. Order the one that matches your camera.
The monitor has to be clean before fitting
Any dust or fingerprints on the monitor when you apply the glass stay visible underneath it. Clean the monitor thoroughly first and fit the glass somewhere as dust-free as possible.
Not reusable once removed
Once the glass has been fitted, its contact side inevitably picks up dust when you take it off, so it cannot be used a second time. Take your time fitting it: if you remove the glass, you will need a new one.
Protection for the monitor, not the whole camera
The glass protects the monitor from scratches and light knocks. It will not save the camera in a fall, and a hard blow can crack the protector itself.
