85 cm-why this size?
85 cm isn't random. This diameter is large enough for broad, soft light-but small enough to save space and work fast. This is the size photographers choose when they won't compromise: not as compact as S65T, not as unwieldy as S120T.
Quick-open-two-second setup
Like the S65T: umbrella principle, not construction. Out of bag, opened, light. This is for studios that work fast-or location shoots where space and time are tight.
Diffuse, soft light-softbox standard
This is classic softbox quality: no focus, no spots, no contrast drama. Broad, even light that renders skin and products softly. Portraits, beauty, macro, fashion-anywhere you need soft light.
Grid for focus effects
With the S85T-Grid you can tighten light-eye light, accents, detail work. But even without grid: the S85T is a full softbox.
vs. S65T and S120T
S65T is compact, fast, for small studios. S120T is large, broadest light, for spacious studios. S85T is the middle: space-efficient and light-efficient both.
