Sometimes even ten stops are not enough: the Haida One Million X is an extreme ND filter that swallows almost all of the visible light (around 1,000,000x, roughly 20 stops), making multi-minute exposures possible – in the middle of a bright day. This V2 version is the latest generation of the round drop-in filter for the M10-II holder system and now sits in an aluminium frame instead of the predecessor's plastic frame.
- Extreme light reduction (One Million X, approx. 20 stops)
- New aluminium frame instead of plastic – more robust and durable
- Round drop-in filter for the Haida M10-II holder system
- Slides in and swaps without tools
Extreme long exposures in broad daylight
Where other ND filters stop
Water turns mirror-smooth, drifting clouds blur into soft bands and anything that moves dissolves into calm, almost painterly surfaces – exposure times of minutes where seconds would normally be the limit.
New aluminium frame
The filter now sits in a precision-made aluminium frame. That makes it more robust than the plastic predecessors, ensures a clean fit in the holder and stays easy to grip and swap even in the cold.
How it works in the field
Real-world scenario
Midday at a waterfall: instead of waiting for the blue hour, you slide the One Million X into the M10-II holder and expose for several minutes – the roaring water becomes a silky veil and tourists in the frame vanish completely.
What to know before you order
An M10-II holder is required
The drop-in filter is an insert for the M10-II holder system and goes into the holder (with light barrier) – holder and adapter ring are not included.
Extreme ND: tripod and preparation needed
At this density you can see practically nothing through the filter. Set composition and focus without the filter first, then slide the filter in; a tripod and remote release are essential. With such long exposures some cameras may show a slight colour cast, which is easy to correct in post.

The manufacturer Haida specializes in the production of high quality filters for various uses in photography. Haida filters are all made of optical glass. Haida produces filter holders as well as screw filters. The filter holders for plug-in filters are available in the width of 100 mm and 150 mm in our assortment. There are also matching Haida adapter rings in different sizes. Of course, Haid also manufactures ND and GND filters in various dimensions. The Haida ND filters are mainly used in landscape photography. When it comes to coating, the Haida company uses the NanoPro MC designation for multi-coated surfaces, with the NanoPro series being the most current version. Haida systems are available for all sizes of lenses from different manufacturers. The kit Haida M10 II system for 100 mm should not be missing on any photographer's wish list. Haida filters can be used especially well for shooting with water. Haida products do not need to be afraid of comparison with other products such as those from Lee. The ND or gray filters are available in different strengths. So that not too much time is lost in post-processing, the filters from Haid are color-neutral. With the Haida M10 series, you can make perfect long exposures. The corresponding 100 mm graduated filters can be mounted high or low in the filter holder. For ultra-wide angles, Haida also has a corresponding solution in its range, namely the M15 system. With a width of 150 mm, these filters cover a wider angle of view compared to the 100 mm. If such an ultra-wide angle is on your wish list, please be sure to note the Haida M15, there are various adapters for the most diverse combinations. Haida also has rear lens filters, these mount in the lens bayonet and are available in various strengths. Simply put, you can find the right filter for every application in Haida's range. Whether these are then used in the city or in the countryside, it does not matter. The products are also accompanied by brochures or manuals in English that give an overview of the entire range.
