Spider X Flash Holster Kit v3 Belt Holster for Flash and Accessories

The Unleashed Flash is in your bag, as is the battery pack, and when you need both, you end up kneeling on the ground and rummaging around. The Spider X Flash Holster Kit v3 attaches these items to your belt so you can grab them without even looking. The trick is two adhesive adapters: You stick one onto the flash, and from then on, it snaps into the holster. The device doesn’t need a tripod thread for this.

For accessories that don’t have a tripod thread

The adhesive adapter makes almost anything attachable

The two Pro Accessory Tabs v3 are made of nylon composite and feature genuine 3M adhesive. Peel off the protective film, stick the tab to a flat surface on your device, and from then on, it snaps into the holster like a Spider camera plate. Since two tabs are included, you can equip two devices at once and switch between them without having to reconfigure anything.

You can secure round devices with the cable ties

Not every device has a flat surface for the adhesive. For curved housings, cable ties are included so you can secure the tab even more firmly. This way, you can also securely attach an LED tube or a battery pack with a round casing to the holster.

Two modes, depending on the situation

In Auto-Lock mode, the holster locks into place automatically as soon as you insert the tab. To release it, lift the locking lever. If you push the lever all the way up until it clicks into place, the holster stays open, and you can pull the device out with one hand.

Off-camera flash at a wedding

You’re constantly switching between available light and off-camera flash. The flash hangs on your belt instead of in your pocket; you grab it on the go and mount it on the stand. Between setups, you clip it back on without having to put the camera down.

Video lighting on set

You want to bring a small LED light and its battery pack, but they’re constantly in the way. The holster can hold both one after the other, up to 2.3 kg. With the second tab, you can also attach your light meter.

One holster, multiple devices

The tab stays attached to the device, not the holster. This makes the holster a fixed point on your belt, and you decide on the spot what’s attached to it. If you need two devices within reach at the same time, use a second holster.

What you should know before ordering

The belt is not included

The box contains the holster and the tabs, but no belt. The holster clips onto any standard belt, so you don’t need a Spider strap. If you’d still like one, you’ll find a selection in the Spider Holster category.

Adhesive adapter or screw-in pin: Which one fits your device?

If your accessory has a 1/4-inch tripod thread, you don’t need adhesive. In that case, the Spider X Holster v3 with QD pin is the cleaner solution, because the pin is screwed in and comes out without leaving any residue. This kit is designed for anything without a thread. The holster itself is the same in both cases.

Not compatible with Spider V2 or Spider Monkey

The V3 generation is not compatible with holsters, plates, and pins from the V2 series. The smaller Spider Monkey Kit is also a separate system with its own belt clip and tabs, which do not fit here. The Monkey Kit can hold up to 0.45 kg and is sufficient for a light meter or a small flash. For a large clip-on flash or an LED light, you’ll need this kit with its 2.3 kg capacity.
