If the flash base of your V1 is defective, you can find a replacement here. The replacement is very simple. Loosen the four screws, lift the flash base and disconnect the ribbon cable from the flash. Note how the contacts are plugged in. Now reconnect the cable of the new flash base to the flash and tighten the four screws.
